Emma Hume

Emma has been in the Tampa/ St. Pete area for the past four years and considers herself a “meant to be” Florida native. She has lived in Ohio, Kentucky, and South Carolina but loves all things sunshine and ocean! She moved to Tampa in 2018 to pursue her Master’s in Public Health at the University of South Florida and works in cancer epidemiology research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Some of her favorite ways to spend her time include: taking drop in dance classes, competing in local CrossFit competitions, and ANYTHING involving the ocean.

Emma has been dancing for the past 24 in styles such as tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, Bollywood, Broadway, heels, commercial pop, and poms. Emma was in a pre-professional contemporary ballet company where she had the opportunity to perform in a variety of classical ballets and original contemporary pieces, as well as competing numerous years in one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world, Youth American Grand Prix. Emma additionally has been trained in a variety of Spanish rhythms as a Level 2 Zumba Instructor and was awarded the title “All American” cheerleader from the Universal Cheerleaders Association four years in a row. Emma has experience coaching and teaching all ages and capabilities and loves bringing her enthusiasm for all styles of dance to her students!
