The LAB Workstudy Program

Our Workstudy Program empowers dancers of all levels and abilities to immerse themselves in unlimited classes while joining with other aspiring dancers behind the scenes and on the frontline of our dance center to gain volunteer hours. Participation in this program provides priceless insider access and exposure to the many areas of The Lab. Our workstudy program participants are individuals looking to become professional dancers, teachers, choreographers, managers, producers and agents. A workstudy experience is a valuable tool in an idividuals entertainment career for the practical experience gained, access and resources in the dance and entertainment community, learning the inner workings of a studio and how to run it and last but not least, opportunities for introductions to movers and shakers in the field!

REQUIREMENTS

  • There is a minimum 6 months commitment

  • You must be 16 or older

  • You must live in Tampa and be a Florida resident

  • You must be a US Citizen, or permanent resident of the United States, or hold a valid non-immigrant visa with a minimum duration of 12 months.

  • You may go to auditions outside of the program

  • You must pay $15 for our staff uniform

  • You must have a neat appearance, be reliable, mature, happy, friendly and customer service oriented

  • No dance audition needed
